This is an upscale, brewery. restaurant and hotel located on the outskirts of Plzen. Easy to get to by car and not too hard by city bus. If you take the bus, as we did, no transfers are needed. However, you get off in suburban area that looks like the last place you'd find a brewpub. But take a walk just a few blocks downhill (to the right coming from Plzen) and you'll fine the Purkmistr on the left.
My wife and I enjoyed very fine food here, including trout. A beer sampler is available. Mine had 7 beers, all brewed on premises. I thought the beers were, overall, up with the finest in the Czech Republic.
Service was very good. Our waitress spoke very English, albeit with an Irish-Czech accent.
Also on the premises, a bowling alley: it is small but quite nice and high tech., and with it's own small bar.
Even with the adventurous bus ride from the centrum, it was well worth the trip out here. Highly recommended, especially if you have a car.
