A: Poured a pale yellow colour, with a 1 finger head & a tad cloudy with some yeasty chunks...carbonation was good, but head sunk to just a thin film quite quickly although ringed lacing recorded most mouthfills.
S: Very sweet, mmm, honey sweet...a little noble floral hops. As it warmed up the barley malts (Gairdner & Schooner varieties) became very evident on the nose, also the tropical fruits gave this a good summery feel.
T: A little fruity zang, some banana, citrus, & loads of honey. Hops gave a floral grapefruit tang. A good little complex local beer.
M: Very fresh, light, spritzy, with heaps of carbonation.
D: Have no problem grabbing a 6 pack & enjoying. Be a nice drop over a meal as well. This beer cops a little flak locally but I do enjoy it.
Been hot of late & have enjoyed the summery, tropical fruity feel of this beer...albiet sweet!

Pours a cloudy dull yellow with a fairly big white fluffy head that persists well.
Upfront noble hop aromas, some citrus (mandarin) with some good raw green leaf notes. Hops dominate, yet not overpowering. Some slight grain aromas in there.
Plenty of hop flavour on the palate along with some off dry light malt flavours. Not very complex, but well balanced and pleasant.
Well balanced mouth feel - perhaps finishes a little short, but is full and inviting.
I like this - it is a good local interpretation of a Euro lager. Found it at an organic shops as it is 100% certified bio dynamic. Probably tastes better on a half moon, will grab another bottle and find out.
Edit: They happy say on their website "Glenbar Lager is a modern Pale Ale style" hmmm...
