A deep maroon ale that never achieves blackness or opacity despite the inclusion of roasted barley and a wee bit of rye. Its initial appearance suggests a nitro infusion, but once again, this is just the aerated turbulence of the sparkler. An aroma of dusty grain bin takes on a slight doughiness, while the dry flavor is remote and underdeveloped. The body also draws a bit thin.
Clean, but ultimately too fragile to appreciate.
