Draft only
Aroma – Faint hint of pear
Head – size, can’t tell, white, rapidly diminishing to 2 mm layer
No lacing
Body medium yellow, cloudy
Flavor very faint pear, quickly ending. No alcohol, no hops, no diacetyl, no yeast phenolics
Palate medium, watery, soft carbonation
Apparently some Belgium strain of yeast was used to ferment this, so voila! A Belgium beer! The pear flavor is interesting, but shouldn’t there be some hint of hops if this is a pale ale? Perhaps this should be classified as a perry instead. Passable for a pint, but won’t be ordering a second.
