Pours a very light orangish brown color with a bit of haze. Aroma has pine, citrus and malt sweetness. The taste has some hop character, citrus and a complimentary bitterness melding with brown sugar, slight nuttiness and dough. The beer is easy to drink and on the full bodied side. A good pale ale.

tap
Pours a clear amber gold, white film for a head.
Light bready malts with citrus hop notes in the nose.
The flavor follows with said bready malts and citrus hops. Also has a piney bitterness.
Light body with a tingly carbonation on the tongue.
A solid, mildly hopped pale ale, good flavor. Very light, good with food, easy to drink, not exceptional but good enough to go back and have again.

poured a VERY hazy orangish copper. nice head that had some lasting power
too hazy for what I think it should be
hops dominated the nose...orange and lemon rind was what came t mind
taste was decent, although thin on the mouthfeel.
seemed a bit watery, but overall an ok beer

the best beer at the Blue Canoe in my estimation- but I am partial to ales.
hue is darkish red; a smooth ale; mild hop flavor; good mix of malts; hops; and barley.
Nice thick white head.
I think the best adjective for the beer is "Medium" It doesn't start all that impressive but has a good middle and finish.
the Blue Canoe is the crown jewel of this old oil town that seems to be imploding around itself.
Food is much better than average; price is more than reasonable- a growler is only 10 bucks.
I've been to the establishment more than 10 times and hope to return sooner rather than later.

I have drank this brew many times on tap including last night, when I purchased this growler fill for $8. Poured into a tall glass has about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of foam leaving cob web like lacing. Burnt orange copper color.
Pine like smell denotes strong hoppy presence.
Somewhat bitter with balanced citrus notes in flavor. Balanced ABV makes this APA very drinkable any time of year.
