tap, limited release

Pours a slightly reddish brown, bit hazy, with an off-white lacing for a head.

Smells of spices, notably cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

Flavor features the same spices, plus cardamom, allspice, and a bit of orange zest along with caramel and bready malts.

Medium bodied with a tingly carbonation across the tongue.

Despite the description, its not especially potent. A reserved ale described by the brewers as a dubbel, could definitely be mistaken for a spiced ale or winter warmer, hides its strength well and feels very drinkable if you like spiced ales, certainly worth a try but probably won't appeal to everyone.
