Pours almost jet black, whitish lacing for a head.
Smells of roasted coffee and oatmeal.
Coffee, oatmeal malts, caramel and an oak bitterness round out the flavor.
Medium body with a light tingle of carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Somewhere between an oatmeal stout and a dark English brown ale, this beer is pretty tasty and drinkable, although a bit less potent than it could have been. The mouthfeel is pretty smooth and the flavors are good, so this is worth trying if you can catch it while it is around.
