Publican House Brewery

Things are changing for the Publican House it appears - in good way. They've opened up a new restaurant, that has decent enough food, and a very fine patio. Beyond that and onto the beer, it looks like they've adopted a project beer model. This brew and a coffee beer are being offered up as the first of these projects. There's been other one-offs, but not positioned as project beers. So here's to what else may come down the line.

Not had a ton of this style before, but it works. Malty and gently sweet, offset by an appropriate level of bitterness. Subtle smell which is enjoyably grainy. Rusty somber color with a impressively persistent head and lace all the eat to the end. Nicely done.
