Don't recall having a nice history with Belgian lagers/pilseners, but bought quite a bunch, just for giggles. Most of them are in 25 cl bottles. This is the first.
Ster Pils pours clear golden, with a sticky thin white head kept alive by strings of fizz for some minutes.
Smells adequate, malts have a small sweet note, but you can detect some vague noble hop, also a mild spiciness.
Taste starts with Pils malts, a bit sweet with a touch of corn. Bit of apple acidity. Spicy herbs develop rapidly into a not so great bitterness, a bit chemical and mostly metallic in the dry finish.
Light body, medium carbonation. The bitter bad notes linger in the aftertaste.
Not horrible, not good either, but drinkable. Off to a bad start i guess.
