Nice beer for those who like something with malt favor and not a ton of hops.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours slightly hazy copper orange with a nice one finger tall white head, dissipating down to a small ring around the edges, leaving very little lace down the glass.

S - Smells of rich caramel and toffee sweetness, slightly bready toasted grain and some light herbal hop bitterness. Nothing over the top here.

T - Starts off with the mildly toasted grain and moderate sweetness, namely the caramel and toffee from before. As it washes over the palate there is a light herbal hop bitterness that fights to balance it all out, succeeding for the most part. Finish is a nice mix of malt and hops, not lingering on the palate for very long. Nowhere near as hoppy as others in the style.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, malty feel from start to finish makes it very easy to consume.

O - Unlike all of the other Ambers from our area, this one doesn't try and be a hop bomb. It honestly drinks more like an Octoberfest rather than an amber thanks to all the malt. Either way it's a nice beer for the cold nights ahead of us.
