Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours murky brown with a dense one and a half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty streaks of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of coconut, chocolate, lightly toasted grain and not much else. The cocoa and coconut match well together.
T - Starts off much like the nose does with the cocoa and coconut dominating everything else. A bit of grain and light sugary sweetness round it out but it's all about the main flavors. Finish is sweet but doesn't linger for very long.
M - Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth feel typical of a cream ale.
O - An interesting twist on their coconut cream ale. The chocolate is prevalent but not overpowering and the coconut complements it very well. Worth a try if you get the chance.
