Served on-tap at Ffej of July and later at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours very murky brown with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving very small trails of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of mild spice, fruity esters, toffee and caramel sweetness, dark fruits and plenty of mildly toasted malt. Booze becomes apparent as it warms up.
T - Starts off with the strong candied sugar sweetness quickly being joined by the light spice, fruity yeast, dark fruit and plenty of warming booze. Finish is pretty sweet with some mild dryness from the booze, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium-Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Sweet, boozy feel clings to the palate long after consumption.
O - Third place out of two, that should be all you need to know about how this one turned out. As it stands it is an ok American Strong but they have way to many other great beers on to have another.
