Pizza Boy's new contract brew for Arooga's. This firkin had tangerine zest added to it.
A - Pours hazy brownish red with a nice one finger tall white head, slowly dissipating down to a light film, leaving sticky rings of lace around the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of fresh zested tangerines, tropical hops, fresh cut grass, pine resin and some nice backing mildly toasted caramel malt.
T - Starts off with a mix of zesty tangerine and sweet caramel malt quickly being joined by the pine, grassy and tropical hops and a bit of toasty bread. Finish is a little sweet with some pithy fruit from all the added zest, not lingering for very long.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, fruity feel from all the added zest.
O - A very nice zesty IPA. I will have to try the regular version still but this is pretty solid. Glad I made the trip over to try it.
