Had a very strange synthetic/plastic grape aftertaste to it.

Pours deep dark brown bordering on black with a half finger tall tan head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving small streaks of lace down the sides of the glass.
Smells of dark roasted chocolate malt, dash of meaty umami, definitely plenty of smoke and some light fruitiness I can't really put my finger on. Taste is along the same lines. Tons of smokey chocolate malt up front quickly being joined by the mild umami flavor and what is best described as some cherry fruitiness from somewhere. Slick, smokey feel with some fruitiness at the end of each sip. Feel is probably my favorite part of this beer.
Overall an ok experimental porter. I don't get a ton of Capocollo per se but it's still decent enough. Worth a try since you'll never have another but I prefer some of the other beers on right now.
