Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden. Pours murky golden amber with a half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light ring around the edge, leaving small webs of lace on the glass.
Smells of strong citric and piney hops, dash of fresh cut grass, spicy rye, caramel and toffee sweetness and some toasty grains. Taste has plenty of citric and pine up front slowly being joined by the spicy rye, sweetness, grass and some bready grains. Smooth, spicy feel with a decent amount of dryness on the finish.
Overall a solid rye IPA. The hops are strong and it is still easy to consume. Another excellent rye IPA from pizza boy.
