A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a clear golden yellow topped by a dense and pillowy two finger white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of wine barrels, a little funk, and some nice fruity notes.
T: Taste is pretty tart up front with some slight tropical fruit notes as well, hints of funk with a little horseblanket and touch of band aid. On the swallow there's some bright lemony tartness, more fruit, honey malt, a little more wine barrel, and some lingering tropical fruit notes.
M: This beer is fairly light in body but it is not watery. Carbonation is lively and effervescent without crossing over into being prickly while the beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. I've been sitting on this one for quite some time and it's still drinking very well. Very nice complexity and flavors going on with this one. If they make it again it's worth a try.
