Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a snifter. The beer pours a fairly hazy golden rod color with some white sediment chunks on the bottom of the glass. SOme lazy streams of carbonation rise to the surface and a creamy bleached white head of 2 cm of foam rests on the surface. The foam fades ever so slowly as I drink the beer and leaves some windowpane lattice on the glass after each sip that I take.
The aroma is some orange and some tropical fruit notes. Maybe a bit of papaya or mango, but lots of fruit and not a lot of malt or any bitterness.
The first sip reveals a light body with fine and only slightly tingly carbonation. Very smooth texture on this very high drinkability beer.
Flavor is similar to the nose with a lot of fruit forward notes including peach and orange with a bit of citrusy grapefruit. I do get a slight rindy bitterness after each swallow that dries out my palate and lingers a bit. There is not a lot of malt character and no alcohol hits on this very drinkable brew. Worth a drink if you like the juicy citrus hop forward brews of the moment.
