Pours a deep dark brown color with a finger of tan head. The nose has an exquisite blend of roast and sweetness with a faint trace of smoke thrown in for good measure. The flavor has more sweet and less roast but it is still full and hearty. The body is hefty and the mouthfeel is sticky and sweet.
Al's calls this effort a "pastry stout." I'm down for this being the part of a complete breakfast.
