Very slight, late-to-develop dark khaki colored froth that fizzes away rather quickly…. Color is an oily inky black…. Nose is mild but pleasant…. Coconut, vanilla, faint cocoa nibs and a hint of roasted malts…. Flavor profile dials up the intensity quite a bit…. Heavy notes of vanilla and roasted malts with undertones of coconut and milk chocolate…. A slightly boozy burn lingers on the finish…. Sleek and sticky…. Full bodied…. I had been sitting on this one for a while not expecting much, but this one is a very pleasant surprise and checks all the boxes…. Pizza Boy makes a lot of fine beer, but I really think they excel at stouts…. A job very well done….
