A golden barlywine weighing in at 11%. We split the batch and aged 1/2 in a Jack Daniels barrel and the other 1/2 in a Jim Beam barrel with a pile of vanilla beans. After about six months of aging we then blended both barrels back into one beer. Really complex bourbon aroma but no bourbon burn. A little sweet, and tasty!

Got this in a wax-sealed bottle last night at Al's of Hampden. Had previously tried Pizza Boy's Intangible, which was pretty good, figured I'd give this one a whirl.
It pours a reddish brown with a very thin white head. No lacing and the head disappears fairly quickly.
Smells boozy, hints of bourbon, vanilla and a little sweet. Taste is boozy up front, has traces of oak and a little spice to it. Mouthfeel is painfully bland. Zero carbonation and almost syrupy texture.
Overall a pretty good beer. Worth the money to try it.
