Draft offering at the source. The brew appears a clear straw yellow color with a creamy white topping supported by rising bubbles of carbonation. A swirl revives a half finger back to the surface.

The smell is primarily of something along the lines of lemon zest with a touch of herbal hops. It is mildly grassy with a sweet grain inclusion that pops out as it warms up and creates a nice balance to the aromatics.

The taste is also lemony mixed with an earthy to herbal bitterness and mild toasty grain backing. At times it almost has a coriander type of clingy to oily feel and flavor. The wheat is subtle but it is there.

This is a medium to lighter bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. An easy drinking brew that is quite sessionable. If there were not so many options to pick from, I coul see myself throwing a couple of these back.

Terry Hawbaker's first beer at Pizza Boy! Here we go...
Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden into a nonic pint.

A - Pours hazy golden yellow with a small half finger tall white head leaving thin rings of lace down parts of the glass.

S - Smells of pungent grassy hops, dash of citric fruit and some bready wheat. A little too cold initially but it really came through as it warmed up.

T - Starts off with a nice grassy hop bite quickly giving way to hints of grainy wheat and some light fruitiness. Finish is a mix of chewy and bitter, not lingering on the palate for very long. My glass disappeared rather quickly...

M - Light body with moderate carbonation. The feel is balanced well between chewiness and hoppiness, making this one very easy to drink.

O - I rather enjoyed this one. It packs plenty of hoppy flavor into an easy drinking wheat beer. This is only the beginning, I can't wait to see where Terry takes Pizza Boy in the future!
