Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours golden amber yellow with a soapy one finger tall white head leaving thick rings of lace down the glass.
S - Smells of pungent Amarillo hops, fresh zested citric fruit, pale malt and some pine needles. Very hoppy smell from start to finish.
T - Starts off with an intense grassy hop bitterness from all that Amarillo that never really fades away. Hints of pine and fresh cut tropical fruit combine with the pale malt to offer some contrast but this one is all about the hops. Finish is pretty bitter with some light chewiness, not lingering for very long.
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, hoppy feel from start to finish. Nice balance of flavors.
O - A very nice single hop pale ale. It has a ton of hop bitterness, dulling its drinkability slightly. Either way this is definitely the best pale ale I have had from Pizza Boy to date.
