Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours dark orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of sweet wheat and very slight banana. Tastes of wheat with notes of banana and orange. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, slightly heavy carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Draft. Pours an opaque golden color. Smells like a Belgian actually. Slight acetone flavor with the Belgian yeast. No head. Semi ok ex the acetone flavor. Probably the best in their lineup and that ain't saying much. This brewery makes the claim that they are the only craft brewer in Door County, which is probably true, but it doesn't make their beer any good. It was served in a plastic cup too, fyi. Thx Shipwrecked!

The rotated seasonal beer in the six beer sampler served at Shipwrecked restaurant, regrettably in a plastic cup.

Color is a light amber with white foam.

The smell is light wheat.

Taste is clean, with very string banana tones. I didn't pick that up in the nose, just the taste. Well balanced in the mouthfeel.

If I was ordering a full pint, this is the way I'd go. Based on the sampler, this is the best beer in the house.

A: Served in a pint glass with about an 1/2" of head that reduces to a surface coating. Very clear amber in color. Served with an orange slice garnish.

S: Lemon and orange, though the orange likely comes from the orange slice garnish. Just not much going on.

T: Primarily seltzer with some light sour notes and flavors approaching banana, but not quite ever getting there.

M: Light in body with high carbonation.

D: Simple beer, but far (very far) from a great one. Considering how clear this beer is, I'd question if this beer can be properly considered a hefeweizen. More of an American Pale Wheat in my opinion. While this beer has little character, it is somewhat refreshing and would be a decent summer brew. However, this appears to be the best beer at Shipwrecked.

12 ounces on tap poured into a tumbler at the brewpub in Egg Harbor. they opened the tap on this one a day before i stopped in. porus a cloudy light amber/orangish color with a nice haze and no head. no lacings either.

aroma is mainly of banana and citrus, with a touch of pale malts coming through as well.

taste is more of the same, only with a bit more pale malt and a hint of clove. a pretty standard hefe, only with more fruit, making this one almost fruit-juice like.

mouthfeel is light bodied with a lightly tart texture and a crisp finish. mildly refreshing, but overzealous with the fruit.

drinkability is decent. this is a summer brew through and through, but the banana and citrus overpower any malt or hop quality that the brew could have had. their porter is a much better example for a Shipwrecked brew.
