Pours a dark brown with one finger head, almost a saffron yellow appearance. Very unusual. Little lacing.
Aromas of nuts, raisin and dry sherry.
Intense flavours of brown sugae, roasted caramel, christmas pudding, and toffee.
The above words don't do this beer justice. It's very old-school amd smooth in the mouth. Very unusual, doesn't fit into any well known style. Sensational drinking.
Half a point off overall for price point.

This is a new brewery for me but heard lots about and definately a hard brew to categorise as its definately in a league of its own and this probably best fits the category as they call the type Muscovado and i know that is a unrefined brown sugar with strong molasses flavours and it is hopped with centennial and perle hops and pours a dark chocolate brown with a tinge of cherry with nice carbonation that leaves behind a two finger head and minimal lacing, the smell is obviously brown sugar and molasses but also has aromas of cherry, vanilla, alcohol and fruit cake, the mouthfeel is light-medium bodied and silky smooth and has tastes of brown sugar, port, cherries, vanilla,a tinge of bourbon and finished with bittersweet hit of fruitcake and overall a very interesting drop that woul drink again and look forward to trying other drops from this old school brewery cheers.
