This stout is fresh with a Caribbean twist, with toasted grains, dark fruits and sweetness. The rum is not overpowering, but it sits just as comfortably on the finish with the dark muscovado. It is excellent with a flavor that just keeps evolving. It has a strong nose with notes of coffee and Caribbean spices. The taste is overall smooth despite being a strong stout.

Copenhagen 9/5 2020. 36,5 cl bottle from Best of Beers Web-shop. Bøgedal's usual austere text-heavy label design informing about hops used and other ingredients.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big off-white, yellow-ish head. Fairly stable. Settles a 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong sweet odor and nice boozy streak. Brown sugar, cane sugar, leather, alcohol saturated wood, sweet dark rum.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong malty, boozy sweetness followed by a moderate sour-ish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and potent. Lingering. Finish has a light boozy burn.
Fine light weight boozer which manages to get a little woody touch out of the oak flakes and the rum is peeking nicely in.
