A beautiful creamy, smooth and round stout with slightly burnt notes like toasted bread with butter. There is fruitiness like dark dried fruits and a scent of malt and chocolate.
Hops: Nugget, Perle and Northern Brewer
Spices: Muscovado as well as Bøgedal OldAle and Bøgedal No 589

Copenhagen 1/12 2019. 75 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Brogade, Køge. Bøgedal's usual typewritten design with a lot of information about the beer I am about to drink.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, roasted and with a strong sweet undercurrent. Roasted dark malts, brown sugar, molasses, dark chocolate and hints of coffee. Very light smoky, burnt odor.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick and sticky texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is quite powerful. Very sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a strong, almost tart and bitter-ish undercurrent. Lingering.
Nice brew which manages to balance a strong sweetness with some tart bitterness. The fairly strong carbonation blends in.
