Definately the highlight of this brewpub!
A- Body is a cola brown hue that allows light to pass through which reveals more mildly cloudy dark cola brown. Served with a 1-2 finger foamy light tan head which fades to a thin collar and little to no lacing is left behind in the glass.
S- Coffee and Espresso everywhere-wow! Nose is just like freshly brewed black coffee/espresso.
T- At first sip there is overwhelming espresso and coffee flavor with a mild roasted malt background that is barely noticeable. The flavor is big and robust-but finishes off very clean and smooth with no lingering bitterness. Very well done.
M- Good, classic, porter mouthfeel with medium to high carbonation and an above average weight body.
O- This beer is awesome. Aged on crushed Arabica Espresso beans and it shows! What amazes me about this is the big, bold flavor that finishes really smooth with no bitterness. Usually brews with a flavor this big have a huge bitter finish-but not this one. Very well done!

On tap at the Vintage Estates in Boardman, this beer was nice full of coffee and they labeled on the chalk board as the Reserve Porter same abv and screaming with coffee definitely the same beer. Pours a murky brown hue with a hint of amber when held toward the light, a wispy cream colored head with minimal lacing. Aroma was coffee heavy in a good way with mild creamy vanilla streak coming through. Flavor was assertive with an acidic coffee bean action, kind of like ice brewed coffee with an almost tree bark earthiness. Mouthfeel was medium bodied carbonation was mellow and texture was creamy. Drinkability was solid an easy going coffee beer that I hope to see again.

A growler from my favorite brewpub/brewery in Ohio. Yes, it is official. Main St. is my favorite brewpub in the Buckeye State. Filled on 9-Jun-10.
A: The porter is a coffee color, a dark black at its widest, chocolatey brown at the narrow portions of my glass. The week in the growler has sapped the carbonation, leaving only a thin film.
S: The nose is one-dimensional. Luckily that one dimension is my third favorite liquid (after water and beer), coffee. The beans are rich, bitterly sweet. Not quite a Planet bean but at least a Valdez.
T: That coffee really grabs a hold of you early. The beans are sweetly bitter, burnt with a strong java flavor, nutty and delicious. The porter body that lingers behind the coffee is, on retrospect, a little thin. Despite the thinness, I really like the fullness of the ale, even on a hot June day. Even with the thin porter, the coffee more than makes up for any problems.
M: The freshly ground/cracked coffee, added to the beer, imparts much more flavor than a cold press would/could. The rich, smooth nuttiness works on all levels.
D: Moderation is important, if only so I'm not up all night. My favorite at the brewpub, and quite nice at home too.
