Served in tulip. Poured a lightly hazy brown-amber color with just a thin cap of off-white head that quickly dissipated into a ring, and had OK retention and lacing.
The aroma was mostly tart, although there was a a sweet fruit component, and a nice grain base. On the tongue, the started the same, with the tartness being immediately noticeable, and the the fruity sweetness took over in the middle. At the back, and on the finish, the tartness came back and left a lingering sourness.
The body was medium light, crisp, and had a dry finish. Drinkability was very good, the fruitiness counters the sour aspect quite nicely, making for an interesting balance. Overall, very good, bold but still approachable. A must try if you see it.
