Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean clear medium brown color, with just a thin cap of white head that had low retention and lite lacing.
The aroma was mostly malty sweet, with a bit of an alcohol note. The flavor profile was mostly semi-sweet malts, with some yeasty spice, and very gentle hopping.
The body was full and smooth, although there was a slight alcohol bite on the finish. Drinkability was pretty good, especially for a beer this size. Overall, a nice take on the style, perhaps not NC's forte, but a very nice brew. Certainly worth trying if you see it.
