Drei Kronen 1308 Brauhaus

Hit this place up with a couple of friends on Saturday. Place was virtually empty at the time (6-7:30). We tasted the "dark" beer and the "lager" - didn't get a chance to try out the hefeweizen. The dark brew wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pay 100rmb for a liter. The "lager" was a bit bland and overly carbonated. Happy Hour pricing of 2 for 1 made it all a bit more bearable though.
Food was, well, crap. We got a platter of sausage, meat loaf, and salami - the sausage was alright, but the meat loaf was some SPAM looking stuff that was adventurously tasted by one of my buddies, and subsequently left on the plate to be disposed of. 80rmb that could have been better spent.
The place is big; 3 stories, and lacks a warm atmosphere.
The waitresses looked good though...

this is a new addition to beijing's beer and/or german restaurant/brauhaus scene.

huge, and lots of open space. everything is still new and shiny. at least two or three floors, with a common view to the stage area.

the oktoberfest celebration was their official opening event, and was a pretty raucous affair, and had set menus with free-flow beer, although the marzen festbier wasn't the best.

prior to this, they were pretty empty. will go back to see how things are after the fest, and to review their other beers (which are decent)

food is better than average, about on-par with the paulaner, although similarly pricey.

service is decent, and hey, the ladies are wearing drindle...
