Pours a light gold color into a US pint with a solid, foamy white head with a ton of lacing. Haziness is minimal. It looks more like an unfiltered pale than a wheat beer. I opted for no orange so I could write a better review, but unfortanutley, it was probably needed.
The aroma is very subtle. There is almost no yeast character or any spices. There is just a clean malt scent with a subtle, lemon fruitiness. There is also a touch of hops, I'm guessing it's some noble variety.
The taste is slightly lemony with just a touch of tangy wheat acidity to accentuate that trait. The finish is clean and balanced with a solid pale malt backing and a solid bitterness. It tastes more like a good German lager than a good wheat beer, but that is mostly the fault of the somewhat bland "American wheat" style.
The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and light body but does manage to carry some wheat creaminess in the body and finish. This was easy drinking, but not interesting enough for me to crave another. Good for a style that I usually find bland.
