On tap at the brewpub.
Quite the unconventional hefeweizen in every possible way, this beer pours a clear, light yellow with no head at all. The nose was strange too. The most prominent characteristic was a strong bubblegum character, along with a moderate clove and light banana character. Not particularly wheaty either. The palate is similar, opening with quite a bit of bubblegum and some clove and banana. I do pick up some light candy/honey-like sweetness as well. Drying on the finish with some bubblegum, this beer is light in body and has moderate carbonation. Decent, unique even, but eminently passable.
