A: deep garnet, almost brown; 3 finger light brown head that receded slowly to a thick ring;
S: molasses is the most prominent of many aromas; rum, vanilla, prunes, and oak was all there as well as alcohol;
T: follows the nose; tart at mid-palate, but that passes; no bitterness at all; don't get any rye spice;
M: medium-full bodied; moderate carbonation;
O: didn't know what to expect, but this caught me completely by surprise; once I got past that, I really enjoyed it;
