A - Burnt black body with half a finger of tan head that receded to a thin ring of retention and yielded sparse amount of lace.
S - Very dry and roasty, almost smokey aroma with a shade of nutty character and some licorice notes. Chocolate notes emerged as it warmed up a bit, as well as a hint of coffee and some sweet lactic notes.
T - Pretty sweet for a dry stout at first, but then quickly shifts gears to reveal plenty of dry roasted malt and an earthy hop presence. Finishes with some chocolate notes.
M - Light to medium body for a stout with a very thin, watery mouthfeel. Finish is quite astringent and dry with minimal sweetness and a hint of bitterness on the palate.
D - Pretty good stout overall with a very dry, smokey character and plenty of chocolate to balance.

A-Dark brown/black with a quickly vanishing light tan head that left no lace.
S-Nutty with a touch of dry oak and a faint whiff of dark chocolate.
T-Dry cocoa with a touch of astringent nuttiness and a healthy backing of roasted malt.
M-Medium-light and a bit thin for a stout. This comes of more porter or even nut brown like. Could use a nice beef addition to make it more robust. Nice dry finish however.
D-Good but, missing a cylinder here. Would like more body to remind me I am drinking a stout.
