Fills a Harpoon stange with clear, shiny copper (SRM 14) while a modest, rocky white head quickly drops leaving no lace.
Strong fermented apple cider gives way to light malt and some white wine and yeast. Fairly simple, yet enjoyable.
The flavor is clean, sweet and delicate. A hint of bitterness is primarily contained within a lingering, modest finish. Warmth brings out apples and sourdough.
Light carbonation lifts the medium body and crisp soft texture. Light to no alcohol present.
As expected of a Kölsh, this is an easy, quick-drinking beer. Highly refreshing and enjoyable, this is a nice surprise from Keuka Brewing. While lacking in interesting qualities, Spring Ale is perfect for a hot summer afternoon.
