First had the “Brown Rye IPA,” as listed on the chalkboard at the Bloomington Brewpub, Bloomington, which seems to be the “Rye IPA” listed here and on the BBC website at the same time, at Lennie’s, Btown, on draft into tulip pint.
In 2019, this is 6.00 ABV and a definite midwestern IPA, malty (enough to be based on a brown ale), but balanced with hops and spicy rye.

Better than your average Mic Ultra, but it's no Two Hearted.

A-Translucent amber, some carbonation.
S-Rye spiceness, floral hops, some dirt as well, could use some more hops for my liking.
T-Rye, floral and dirt. Tad bit of pine, some bitterness. Balance was good.
M-Light, watery, not much carbonation either.
O-A decent beer, a step down from the Rooftop. More rye and more hops would have made this beer much better.
