Had Simcoe Kid at Lennie’s/Bloomington Brewpub, on draft into willi becher.
Pours slightly red-amber with clarity, with 1-finger, foamy off-white head, with good retention, which leaves sketchy rings of lace down the glass. Herbal and floral aromas off pour, then big orchard fruit and mild caramel malt aromas, with a little hop spice as warms. Begins with a little tart stone fruit and hop bite, carrying through mild caramel malt, and a nice apple fruitiness, into a crisp, slightly drying, and eventually mildly spicy, but still malt-balanced finish.
Rather more of a west coast pale ale, with excellent balance between malt and the simcoe hops.

A-Cloudy orange, one finger head.
S-Floral notes, citrus some grass and pine as well.
T-Nice balance, some malt, nice hop bouquet. Citrus, floral, grass and ends with a mild bitterness.
M-Light to medium bodied, slight carbonation a tad on the light side.
O-An enjoyable IPA, a new brew of theirs. Isn't better than some of their other IPAs but still yummy
