The first time I tasted this beer, I thought that I just didn’t have luck and that it didn’t reflect its real quality. However, second and third try have confirm my first impression:
• This beer is sour ... but not like a Belgian beer that can be lemony ... just sour and bitter at the same time with an aftertaste that does help you to finish your drink! Four of us ordered a Morgat and three did not finish their beer (highly unusual for Belgian friends)!
• Quality constancy reflects the lack of experience of brewers.
• Seems to be only a marketing beer to be sold using the good “Belle-Ile” image
I’ll try it again this year and let you know if there is any evolution.
