Picked this up at Boots Bar and Grill when I was out in Medora, North Dakota not too long after spending the day in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Never heard of Beaver Creek before and this was a nice first impression from them although I expected this be a bit lighter in hue and more cloudy. Regardless of how close it was to stylistic form, this was an enjoyable brew with a well-hidden alcoholic presence that held up well - aside from the two cans that leaked well before I made it back home!
This had a moderately light copper hue to it as the head settled evenly and slowly. Most of the lacing left behind was in the middle of the glass and wavy, without any semblance of rings lingering for the duration. Floral and sweet in the muted nose, this almost reminded me of an ESB as the taste further reinforced that notion. Hard to pick up the wheat here as there was a moderate amount of Caramel Malt, floral hops, and tangy citrus that when put together, resulted in a beer that was quite acrid on the palate. In the aftertaste, the wheat emerged as it left me wanting a chaser of water to fully get this down.
Hard to taste or feel the booze as a bit of it stayed on my breath once I finished this off. Dated 9/27 on the side of the can, this held up well throughout my time away from home as there were only a few bits of dark sediment that I had to swirl out from the bottom of my pint glass. Full-bodied and softly slick, this was a well-rounded brew that went beyond the quasi-gimmick of a label. I'd have another one of these again should I go out that way again later this year!

Had on tap at Vaqueros Restaurant across the street from the brewery.
L: served immediately after pouring with a thin white ring of foam against the glass, crystal clear copper straw color
S: light sweet malt aroma
T: crisp and well-balanced citrus hop with an initial caramel flavor followed by a subtle wheat flavor on a light malty backbone
F: perfect carbonation on the tongue, medium body feels surprising for such a light colored beer
O: excellent!!

Tap pour at the brewery. Served with orange slice on rim of glass.
Golden color body and white head.
Smell is of wheat malt and slight citrus hops.
Taste follows aroma with sharper taste of wheat malt.
Medium, pleasing mouth feel.
Easy golden ale to drink.
