Tap pour at the Shamrock Club in Wibaux MT. Served chilled in a pint glass.
Partly cloudy, reddish amber colored body. Lingering white head. Leaves behind partial walls of lacing.
Faint aroma of citrus hops and toasted malts.
Taste is bitter, with orange, grapefruit, and pine resin. Aftertaste remains bitter.
Medium mouthfeel. Drying finish. Good carbonation.
Reddish colored IPA with a bitter edge.

Very good. Too many breweries seem to add cologne to all their beers. This one is great.

This is the American IPA by which I judge all others. Getting a pint at the brewery or the GEM is hard to beat. With a rich amber color and elegant lacing in keeping with spot on carbonation, this one delivers the goods. Aroma is subtly citrus and doesn't even hint at the hop coming your way. Listed at 96 IBUs, Simcoe and Centennial take your palate to hop heaven with a mouthfeel to match. Even the aftertaste keeps me smiling. Not for those faint of heart or weak of constitution, this Beaver tastes better.
