After supper at The GEM, a 1914 movie theater recently restored to a restaurant/live music venue, I chose a pint of Wibaux's Gold, brewed next door at the adjoining Beaver Creek Brewery. True to the name, this unfiltered yet nearly clear beer is a deep gold. Carbonation is moderate and sufficient. The initial light sweetness not betrayed by the nose is finished with a light hop that lingers. This beer is perfect for a long warm summer evening.

Had on tap in Medora, ND. Served into a pint glass.
Appearance: moderate carbonation, 1/4 inch head, gold in color, clear
Smell: honey and grass
Taste: grass, with a touch of bread and honey
Mouthfeel: slightly bitter, medium-high carbonation, light body
Overall: Above average ale. I have had better and have had worse. It did hit the spot after a long day of hiking in North Dakota. That said, there are several others I would choose ahead of this.
