Copper color with one finger aired head with low retention.
Aroma of English tangy hops and slightly toasted and caramel malts. Brazilian pitanga fruit is barely felt in the nose.
Flavor of toasted malts, spices, English earthy and tangy hops (which may have come from the pitanga), caramels, mild hay and pitanga. Dry aftertaste with a long lasting bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
The pitanga flavor really matched the choice of hops, so much that if you didn’t know beforehand it is hard to tell it was added to the recipe. Felt to me like a Vienna Lager with English influence. Good beer.
