Layman that I am, is the best beer I ever drank in my life! But do not consider this as an advantage, because I started drinking less than 1 year... I think I will have other experiences, God willing!

350ml bottle served in a Tulip glass.

A: First of all, beautiful bottle art. Dark bottle, nice label and wax sealed cap. The beer pours a deep orange color which is slightly cloudy. Forms a medium aired white head leaving some lacings

S: Sweet in the nose, banana esters, honey, Belgian yeasts and little bit orange zest and hops

T: Sweet upfront. Candy sugar, caramel malts, orange zest, grassy hops

M: Medium body and carbonation. Sweet in overall with some orange zest and grassy hops aftertaste

O: Quite interesting beer. Very Belgian but, at the same time, very original compared with the other Belgian style Ales produced in Brazil

Appearance: bright, deep golden colour. The head is white, large and moussy. Reasonable retention but very little lacings.
Aroma: sweet aroma with yeast, slightly citrus, grains and biscuits notes.
Taste: sweet malts, biscuits, weak hop presence and some spices.
Mouthfeel: very sweet (unctuous), average carbonation, average alcoholic strength and a medium body.
Finish: not very long sweet finish.

Overall: small bottle with a wax coat. There is not much personality to find in this one. The 6.7% alcohol is well disguised. It is almost too sweet and the hops are nearly imperceptible. Overall it is an acceptable try to reproduce a Belgian ale in a country dominated by macro lagers.

A stubby, astrologic looking 330 ml bottle I received in a recent exchange with my collegue Ricardo; muito obrigado pela opportunidade. A Backer product that I've wanted to try, but shyed away because of its relative high price. Shared with a few folks at The Bruery, on to the beer:

Cough syrup orange in color, developing little head and very little lace. The aroma of honey dominated the nose, also a little husky malt, which I hoped weren't present.

The taste is slightly more interesting. Well, at least it's more complex. Sweet honey hits the palate without hesitation. There's still background noise in the form of husky malt, which gets in the way of the flavor. Light doses of tea appear as it warms, and also a very faint note of citrus. Very light in the mouthfeel, primarily becuase this beer is vastly undercarbonated.

It's okay. I hoped for better, but I'm still glad to have had the opportunity to taste another Brazilian.

From a 33cL bottle, thanks Jon,

A: Pours a Triaminic orange with a light white head, spotty lace.

S: Honey, pears, estery, but a mild nose.

T: Sweet malt with orange, pear, sugar cane, and a hint of tangerine in the finish. Not too impressive at the beginning but grew on me as I drank.

M: Light-bodied, pretty smooth, flabby at times.

O: An interesting beer. Light and refreshing, has a good flavour, enjoyable.
