Golden color with a thin head with short retention, but leaving laces.
Aroma with notes of malt and cereal sweetness and mild floral hops.
Flavor with notes of malt sweetness, corn syrup, faint generic spicy hops, some diacetyl and maybe DMS. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
Industrial Adjunct Lager to be drunk at low temperatures. Cloying and with off-flavors.

This is one of my favorite beers from Uruguay. Light hue, moderate carbonation, and bitterness. Very easy to drink, and is a quite thirst quenching beer ice cold.

Bottle 330 ml, bought in Mexico.
Golden yellow colour with a one finger soapy head. Good retention. Average activity in the glass.
Intense smell of malts and some hops.
Nice bitter taste with a bittersweet aftertaste.
Thick on the body, sort of oily, medium carbonation.
This one was not bad at all in my honest opinion.

Green 330ml bottle. I was expecting it to be pretty skunky but there is only a very faint tinge. The smell is pretty light but nothing offensive. Pleasant carbonation, moderately bitter throughout and a nice finish. It's not outstanding but it is easy drinking and something I could have a few of on a hot summer day.

It´s time to try my second beer from Uruguay. Put this beer in the freezer for a couple hours, because the refrigerator at the place I´m staying at sucks. 330 ml foil-wrapped stubby green bottle, on to the beer:
Classic pilsner yellow, but leaning towards fool´s gold. The head forms one cm on top, but dies to a paper-thin lace. There´s some major stinkage in the nose at first. As time passes, the nose becomes more tolerable. Some skunk, DMS, very light fruity scent. It smells like a Heineken to me.
The good news here is it is much cleaner than the other macro-lagers on the market here in southern Brazil as I type this. The bad news is there´s enough DMS and sulfur to wreck the taste. A little pale malt and super spicy notes from the hops are not entirely pushed away though. The sulfur really sticks to the palate, as do notes of peppery spice. Carbonation from this light feeling beer sizzles on the palate pleasantly.
To me, Zillertal is Uruguayan Heineken. I´m sure there´s a solid beer behind that skunky mask it picks up from the bottle, but until they change the bottle color, it is what it is.

Had a green glass 620 ml bottle of this with my chivito al plato lunch in barrio historica Colonia de Sacremmento, Uruguay. And it was one of the better beers made down here in South America that I've had. Even used some hops. This poured with a big foamy, off white head and some lace. Color was gold. Nose is malty, hoppy, bittersweet, and just a hint of skunk. Flavor's about the same with more pronounced bitter. Decent mouth. Clean, bitter finish. Drinkable. Session beer. Nothing really distinguishing, but serviceable. I'd have another.
