Pours a champagne colour, quite cloudy. Cream-coloured head of decent lace. Looks good.
Smells a bit boozey. Malty sweet with caramel notes and a touch of brandy. Strong but decent.
Taste is malty upfront, with a caramel character around the edge. Coffee tinge comes through mid-to-late, and it's quite sweet. Actually makes the palate very pleasant. Decent construction.
Full body, decent with a tinge of warming alcohol. Pleasant.
Quite surprised by this, and pleasantly so. Nice coffee character really brings an otherwise solid wheat beer to life.
