Probably one of the best pilseners I've ever had.

This one was a one-time only brew made by Biertruppe at Cervejaria Bamberg and I'm always begging the producers to release it again.

A: Creamy white head with long retention, this golden yellow treasure also had an amazing lacing.

S: Malt biscuit and floral hoppiness.

T: It's quite hoppy, but not overwhelming. Very balanced between a spiced hoppyness and the malt biscuit.

M: Smooth, far from being heavy .

D: Amazing. I could drink this forever.

During my time at the Bierkeller in Porto Alegre, the owner showed me around the place and some of the Brazilian beers they had in stock. She pointed out this beer, and added it was "muito lupulo", very hoppy. That got my attention, so I took it to go. Now I ge to enjoy this in the comfort of my friend's house here in São Leopoldo. On to the beer:

The head is creamy and a finger thick on top this pretty, semi-hazy, yellowish gold colored beer. Good head retention, and good creamy lacing. The hoppiness in the aroma is fresh and juicy. Honey bread creeps out of the aroma too. Taste...oh yeah, the co-owner of the Bierkeller was right. This does have a good hoppy flavor. A somewhat spicy hoppiness. Very hoppy, but not overkill. It's breadyand biscuity too, but yeah, those hops...taste so good and feel so good. Floral baby! With a faint passionfruit and tropical flavor. The oily texture is welcomed on my palate, and the process can repeat itself over and over without getting too old.

What a surprise from Bamberg....Cervejaria that is! This is one of the best pilsners I've ever tasted, and one of the hoppiest pilsners too. If you're a fan of pilsners, this is one that's worth seeking out. Thank you Bierkeller for showing me this beer!
