I had it straight from the chilled brewery tanks, not even had gone through any of the brewery pipes or kegs. So it couldn't be fresher.
Light brown color with as much thick off-white head as possible with an eternal retention and leaving marks through the glass.
Light aroma of toasted malt.
Taste of caramel malt with a mild sweetness and with a good presence of slightly toasted malts and hints of earthy hops. Aftertaste is dry and mildly bitter.
Light body with low carbonation and small bubbles.
Refreshing and relatively flavorful for a light beer.

On-tap at Emporio Alto dos Pinheiros, on to the beer:
Amber orange colored, much lighter than the tradional brown color of the style. The creamy head put on top is a sight to see, and retention and of it is good. The nose is a little different from tradition. It has a roasty toasty nose with dry powdery cocoa.
Drinking this blind I would have guessed more schwarzbier tasting than Munich dunkel. It tastes fine though; coffee roast mixed with light cocoa powder and a touch of lactose. The beer leaves a roasty aftertaste, and it's a smooth feeling beer that's solid drinking.
Solid dark lager to come out of the gates of Cervejaria Bamberg. This could be interesting to cook desserts with.
