Black color with a caramel head with good retention and leaving laces through the glass.
Clear scent of toasted malts, chocolate and cream, hints of hops. Nice, usually Bamberg is a bit too light in the aroma.
Starts with a crispy feeling and lands on a creamy taste of toasted malts and dark chocolate. Dry aftertaste with its residual toasted malt and hop.
Light to medium body with good carbonation but with natural small bubbles.
Delicious Schwarzbier, I liked the fact that its hops are not completely servant to its malts. Likely the best local for the its type, and capable to compete off-shore.

From a bottle provided by DoubleJ, thanks Jon,

A: Pours a deep brown with a medium white head, good retention.

S: Definitely has a lot of dark fruit, brown sugar and raisin. Smells more Belgian than German-styled, but nice aromatics for it's lower ABV.

T: Dark fruit, plum and raisin. Does have a lot of ale qualities. Not the most classic black lager flavours, but certainly tasty.

M: Light-bodied, the beer reminds us it's only 4.8%, a tad thin at points, soft carbonation, creamy.

O: Don't think Kostrizer, that will give you the wrong idea. This is almost a hybrid of styles, with that Brazilian maltiness taking over.

On-tap at Emporio Alto dos Pinheiros, on to the beer:

Cola colored body with ruby red hues and some thick creamy head served on top from the tap. The aroma is stout-like, roasted/burnt coffee and dark chocolate in this case. The overall flavor is good; more roasted burnt malt that makes you think it's a stout, light semi-sweet chocolate underneath, coffee. The same creamy smoothness can be said about this beer, and its enjoyable drinking.

Spot on for the schwarzbier style, and then a little extra. Traditional dark beers in Brazil are usually way too sweet, but this is a newish beer that breaks that tradition for the better. I like a tasty schwarz like this.
