I get excited when I sample new Bamberg beers, and I was excited when I tried Bamberg Bock at Melograno last night. On to the beer:
Dark red color, leaning almost into amber brown. The head is sizeable at first, then drops quickly to a white lace. The nose brings to mind the usual dark sweet bread note assossiated with the style, plus some grape. It tastes strong and you can get a feel of the alcohol. The dark bread flavor still dominates, but the kick of alcohol brings to mind a warming red grape note which diversifies this beer. The carbonation is light and prickly feeling of this medium sized beer.
I sometimes misunderstand bock beers, and Bamberg was there to put me on the right course. You´ll feel the booze warm your body on this one, so pick a cold night to enjoy this.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
