From a 600 mL bottle, thanks again Jon,

A: Pours a reddish brown, with a spotty off-white head, light lace.

S: Earthy and a bit saline at times. Tons of molasses and dark malt.

T: Nice dark sugar flavour with a great finish of pumpernickel bread. Very Salvator like.

M: Medium-bodied, crisp, biting carbonation, rich at times.

O: I called this beer Salvator Light as I drank it; that's not an insult. This Bambergerator is a quality drink, one of the best Brazilian beers I've had lately.

Another beer to come by way of Sergio, this doppelbock appears to be Bamberg's new winter seasonal, raising the question of the fate of their altbier. I'll worry more about that later. On to the beer:

Dark red with a glow and good lacing sticking around. The nose is sweet, no surprise, but it is executed well. Not too sweet though; notes of raisins, white grapes, and a softer doughy aspect to it as well. Among doppelbocks, this is one of the more "fruitier" one's I can remember. Its taste brings plenty of plums and raisins to the table, and coming on the side are a little caramel and dark bread. The alcohol is hidden well despite hiting 8.2%, and its body is medium full and very smooth with the carbonation. This is a doppelbock that won't weight you down, and the Bambergerator joins Baden Baden's Celebration Inverno as one of the few doppelbocks to be produced in Brazil.
